The
INOV8 products provide uncompromised technology specifically designed
for the challenges of burning nearly any waste oil in a reliable and
clean manner with unsurpassed safety. The equipment is tested to Underwriter's
Laboratory Standard 296A (the U.S. waste oil standard), to Canadian
Standard Association, standard B140.4 by Underwriter’s Laboratory
of Canada and in the United States and is listed with the European
Economic Community with a CE registration number 3884/97. The tests
found the INOV8 unit safe and it’s chimney emissions to be equivalent
to or better than a residential oil furnace. Four main categories
of INOV8 advantages are 1) CLEAN BURNING, 2) FLEXIBILITY OF FUELS,
3) LOW OPERATING COSTS, AND 4) SAFETY.
1 . Clean Burning – The following features combine
to produce nearly complete combustion evidenced by low stack temperatures,
no carbon monoxide molecules, a low percentage of oxygen and a light
powdery ash.
Oil is preheated to 185° F providing a hotter flame and
complete combustion.
- Filtering the oil before and after it’s heated prevents
nuisance shutdowns.
- Higher oil and air pressures produce a finer oil mist ensuring
better combustion.
- The Patented Needle Valve - seals in the nozzle opening to prevent
oil from flowing into the combustion chamber during shutdown.
It also pushes out any debris blocking the nozzle and provides
for an instant flame upon startup.
- The Vapor Eliminator - Waste oils contain water and various
gases that will vaporize as the oil is heated. The flame would
be interrupted if these vapor bubbles passed through the oil nozzle
causing unstable dirty combustion. The INOV8 patented preheat
system extracts vapor from the oil to provide a stable clean flame.
2. Flexibility of Fuels – Because of these unique
features, the INOV8 system can efficiently consume crankcase oils,
gear box oils (85 – 140 wt), up to 175 wt heat transfer oils,
transmission & hydraulic oils, vegetable and synthetic oils
without having to change oil or air pressure settings. We also have
applications that are burning jet fuels, mineral spirit solvents
and some petroleum-based printing inks. The competition typically
can only burn middleweight lubricating oils.
3.
Low Operating Costs – Due to our superior engineering
and workmanship there is a very low incidence of warranty claims
and repair costs. We strive to keep operating costs low, for example
there is no requirement for annual repairs or replacement of parts.
The burner has been designed so that most repairs can be done on-site
by the owner. Our furnaces and boilers have convenient access doors
to allow for vacuuming of the ash leftover from burning lubricating
oils. All components are easily changed out and don’t require
the replacement of a module or group of parts because of the failure
of one component. The INOV8 Instruction Manual includes details
for a successful installation, for normal operation, routine maintenance,
and step-by-step troubleshooting instructions. In the event you
do need assistance our technical support is the finest in the business.
All parts are stocked and available for overnight delivery if needed
to keep downtime to a minimum.
4. Safety - The Fireye Control provides the brains for the
INOV8 burner. Safety is our highest priority and is the reason we
use the only industrial rated electronic burner control in the industry
with a UV sensor, pre-purge, pre-heat, and auto-restart ignition
plus safety lockout. Competitors use a control intended for residential
furnaces that burn a clean and reliable fuel oil that has a flash
point of 100°F. Waste oil has flash points ranging from 290°F
to over 500°F and is anything but clean and reliable. In addition,
The Ultra-violet (UV) Sensor monitors the flame in the combustion
chamber and will recognize an improper flame caused by after-burn
and shut off the oil supply within 4 seconds. Competitors use
a cadmium sensor that isn't capable of differentiating between
a normal flame and improper flame and will continue to deliver
oil in either case. Also, if ignition fails during startup oil
will be delivered for up to 45 seconds causing dirty combustion,
smoky after-burn and the unsafe accumulation of fumes.
- The Ultra-violet sensor will not allow a positive draft to carry
flue gases back into your building. The UV sensor cannot see through
fumes caused by a backdraft and will shut the burner down requiring
a correction of the draft problem before continued operation.
