America's Pride Shinemaster Infra-Red Drying Chambers are designed for years of reliability, with low cost maintenance and energy efficiency. Cost efficient infra-red electric drying/curing units will dry and cure, primers, sealers, finishes and clear coats within 10 to 45 minutes. You can pre-heat before painting, then tape and finish several colors on the same vehicle. Infra-red will also dry and cure body fillers, even in the coldest of weather.

Infra-Red Drying Chambers are designed to be attached to your new and existing booth.

CUSTOM DESIGNED MODELS ARE AVAILABLE TO FIT YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Electric Infra-Red- Electric High Intensity Quartz Tube Infra-Red Units are available in 2000 watt, 2500 watt and 3000 watt. Units come in 46" and 56" lengths and special units can be vertically mounted. Position of the emitters is designed to produce the most directed radiant energy to the vehicle and provide for the minimum of "hot spots". The IR units are designed to significantly amplify the heat pattern for maximum coverage. Electric IR units are UL and ETL listed.

• Enclosure Construction

  Drying enclosures are constructed of 18 gauge G90 grade galvanized sheet metal panels. Panels are manufactured with 2" rolled flanges and 1/2" back rolled flanged and punched on 6" centers for bolt together assembly. Galvanized T-bar structural supports provide for chamber stability and rigidity.

• Electric IR Units Control Systems- Control systems are designed to National Standards. All panels are constructed using a NEMA12 enclosure with a thru door safety disconect and fused on the load side. Depending on the size and design of the drying enclosure 3 to 6 zone control is designed into the panel. Each zone has its on on/off switch and indicator light. A system timer will automatically shut off the IR units when the desired time has been reached. The drying chamber exhaust fan on/off switch with indicator light is interlocked to the IR units. This prevents their operation without the fan in operation. An optional high temperature thermostat will automatically shut off the IR units should the temperature in the drying enclosure reach an adjustable set point. This prevents damage to the vehicle.

• Lighting- Drying enclosures are equipped with a 40 watt 4 tube fluorescent lighting fixture (less tubes) for personnel access. Lighting system conforms to NFPA-33 regulations. All lighting is UL and/or ETL listed.

• Exhaust System- Exhaust system uses a tubeaxial exhaust fan with a TEFC motor (120 volt single phase for 12" fan). The fan is designed with a streamlined belt tunnel and non-sparking blades. The steel fan housing is iron phosphate processed for rust protection with an acrylic epoxy paint finish. A factory installed cast iron sheve is installed on the fan shaft. Two 20" x 20" x 1" air inlet filter sections are installed on the drying chamber shell with a high capacity, high efficiency air filter for fresh air intake.

• Doors- Drying enclosures come standard with one set of solid tri-fold exit doors, and are attached to a drive thru spray booth with existing bifold doors for chamber entrance. Optional bi-fold doors for the vehicle exit along with view windows are available.
