Waste (Used) Oil HeatersThe Heat Exchanger Design. Our engineers are light years ahead of the competition. The combustion chamber and target (deflection plate) of these waste oil heaters are manufactured using an unheard of 10 gauge stainless steel, the thickest on the market. It utilizes a three (3) phase (aka triple pass) temperature collection system for maximum heat transfer. The efficiency rating of the waste oil burner used in this system is at a staggering 91% while industry standards are at just 80%. The Air Handler. A Baldor industrial grade motor, able to be wired for 230v or 115v, has the power to drive the oversized, maximum efficiency squirrel cage blower, allowing conversation at normal volume again. The system is protected and controlled by a SquareD circuit breaker. The fail safe circuitry with selectable automatic and manual over ride is a dependable Honeywell control for the auto shutdown and cool down process. |
The Burner. It is the burner which the heart and soul of the waste oil heater. What can you say about a masterpiece? We have mixed the old with the new when it comes to the superb design of this waste oil burner. No longer is there any need for a pump to push the fuel to the nozzles. In it's place is the tried and true venturi system. With this system, the fuel oil will be drawn up into the dual pick-up tubes as well as the nozzles, and once the desired temperature is achieved, the system shuts down and all fuel oil is returned to the on-board holding tank. No need for the old fashioned oil heater block as the on-board holding tank includes a pre-heater the operator has total control of. By the simple turn of a dial, pre-heat temperatures from 0 to over 360 F (0 -150 C). The micro computer is constantly running the onboard diagnostics while providing a light display, informing the owner of just what is taking place. You’ll never be at a loss with this amazing waste oil burner.
The Payoff. We are proud to announce an industry first. Our Waste (Used) Oil Heaters carry an unprecedented 17.5 year warranty! |

From tasty to toasty: Used cooking oil heats a dinerOwner of Watertown eatery rebels against fuel costsBy Peter J. Howe, Globe Staff Like every small business owner, Don Levy was eager to escape crushing increases in the cost of energy this winter. The owner of Deluxe Town Diner found a way to slash his fuel bill for heating and hot water to $0 during some weeks this winter: a new system that runs on the 30 or 40 gallons of vegetable oil he uses every week for cooking fries, plus oil he collects from a nearby pizzeria and a pair of Chinese restaurants. While hundreds of Boston-area restaurants sell or give their used cooking oil to companies that reprocess it into motor and heating fuel, Levy is one of the few who has cut out the middleman and become his own heating supplier. Besides curbing heating costs, Levy is also saving the $100 or more he used to pay a sanitation company to haul away used oil every month. ''I'm saving money, and I'm saving the planet, too," Levy, 61, said yesterday. Although his self-contained approach seems to be unique, Levy has plenty of company among Hub businesses looking to chop their heating expenses. This month, the first wave of natural gas bills is hitting mailboxes, reflecting price increases of 30 to 50 percent over last winter. Users of heating oil may be getting their next delivery and finding prices here now average $2.38 per gallon, up 46 cents from the same time last year and double 2002 levels, according to a weekly survey by the state Division of Energy Resources. Utilities such as KeySpan Energy Delivery New England and NStar are reporting some of the highest numbers of calls for energy efficiency advice since the 1970s energy crises.
